Gungan Bongo Submarine from “Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace” (1999) – I didn’t like the movie, but I did like the submarine sequence with the submarine being chased by a gigantic monster fish (which eventually gets eaten by the even larger monster fish).Ħ. Hydra Mini Sub from “Captain America: The First Avenger” (2011) – The submarine appears near the beginning of the movie when Captain America chases an assassin who tries to get away in the sub.ĥ. The movie spawned a TV series (1964-1968) which had a four-man flying sub. The Seaview also had a neat two-man mini-sub, however, it was destroyed in a mine field. The Seaview saves the earth by firing a nuclear missile into the atmosphere. The Seaview from “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” (1961) – Very cool looking submarine. The Nautilus from “20,000 Leagues under the Sea” (1954) – Hands-down the most awesome submarine in any movie of any type.Ģ. I also enjoy watching movies about submarines. Like many of my geeky colleagues, I enjoy watching science fiction movies.
